Just got a new shotgun and I want to have a clear coat of cerakote put on it to protect the camo paint. Any references and/or experiences? TIA

Green Dragon Cerakote is in Denham Springs and he does great work.

I've used Savoie's Coatings. Think he's in Cypremore Point. He's on FB.

Last I heard he was slowing down due to health reasons. Is he currently taking business?

Thanks for the references. Anywhere closer to Lake Charles.

Waste of a few hundred bucks IMO, not sure how good the bond would be over the camo since you can't do proper prep and Cerakote isn't "armor" to begin with.

What's the advantage of cerakote?

I Krylonized one of my old shotguns. Flat black spray paint.

Non black or silver finish, various colors, decent protection to the underlying properly prepped and approved substrates, rapid application versus other processes, fairly cheap, easy and/or less hazardous to apply versus hard coat anodizing, blueing and phosphating.

There is a place in Sulphur I used on a Form1 can and she did a good job. Redemption Rising LLC on Post Oak next to the post office.

Yeah, I agree with your earlier post. This would be a waste of money if the purpose is just to protect the camo print. You're only going to have whatever bond the print has, not a typical cerakote bond.

Can you tell me more about what they did for you? I found these people but was unsure of giving them a brand new gun.

Laser engraved my suppressor and then cerakoted it matte black. No issues with the work.
