I usually fish in myrtle grove but I have been unable to find out if they are still there, let alone if they have ice or live bait.

Anyone have any recs of where to fish that might have some live shrimp. I am coming from BR but don’t mind driving a little ways.

Go to Shell Beach and launch at Campos Marina. The water in the marsh is clean, and the reds are thick. Trout are not really in the marsh in numbers yet, but I suspect they are outside.

Myrtle Grove is alive and well.

I'm not 100% sure about the bait situation though.

Had a kayak tournament down that way a couple of weeks ago. Water was not so great then...should have cleaned up some by now I would think.

Caught some reds and a few small trout...normal fare for the time of year. Did see bunch of shrimp up in the marsh. Should be heating up real soon.

Made a Hopedale recon trip this morning going to Shell Beach early next week. They are as you say not inside in numbers yet, scattered but for sure moving inside. Water was high, clarity was bottom of trolling motor, no wind to speak of, tide falling hard all morning.

Specks can be found along Bakers Canal to Half Moon Bay, and up inside bayous and trenasses feeding into Lake Coquille. For you kayakers, they are in the canal across from the Marina just entering the spoil canal.

Matrix Shad Limbo Slice was about the only color that half way worked, rest were on live shrimp using a drop shot or Texas rigged jig head plastics on bottom. Very few on top today, no clouds I think with some cloud cover the topwater bite would have been good.

Caught enough to eat the bite stopped at 1000 for us. Plenty of boats out, and why we left the Biloxi Marsh and headed towards Coquille. Reds feeding along shoreline in several spots early but didn't try catching them today.

Inshore will be good this falll.
