Either square or round. I'm looking to start my ki
project soon.

I bought my last piece at lowes. Only needed a few feet. Think they had up to like 6 or 8' sticks of square.

cool, thanks. Another question, is there a way to bond it other than welding?

Duct tape
Gonna have to wait on someone else to get any other answer.

Electrical supply house has round conduit. You can bend to fit then thread it together with the right fittings.

when you say fittings, do you mean elbows, etc? If so, I'm not sure if that will work because I dont think my angles will be the traditional 45, 60, 90...

The also make an aluminum weld putty. It is not nearly as strong as a real weld but it gets the job done.

Hmmm, I wonder if it'd be strong enough to build this?
Would be leaning against it, not really putting much weight on it.

Like I said you can bend the conduit in places that you might need awkward angles as long as you end up at a point that is capable of threading a fitting onto. Find an industrial I&E tech and he can show you some neat things done with aluminum conduit.

if you are going to spend that much I would just go ahead and bring it to a shop and have it welded.
