Make sure you get the .22 version if you want to kill things. The .177 is not the best show stopper.

I have a Benjamin 22cal NP-XL. I think it shoots 950 FPS w/lead,1100FPS W/alloy. I have it sighted in and it`s very accurate. At sixty five yards,I can hit a # 10 can every time. At this distance some go through both sides. $269.00 at Academy.

Where is the Benjamin made? I need to get my son one in the next year or two. I checked out the air rifles at Bass Pro and found that most of them were made in China.

I actually found it at BassPro about a year ago with an open box and the dust covers for the scope were cracked. I had planed on getting a "cheaper" one but this one was marked down to $127.99 so "I jump in it".

I think you can get one now for around $200.

I bought a Powerline 1000 before this one and it was trash in no time, terrible trigger, barrel ended up bending at the pivot point...

RWS 52 in .177. I would not recommend it. It looks impressive but is heavy, loud and has a nasty recoil.
