Hunted everday. Problaby had 5-6 days didn't kill anything. Best day was 8 teal, and 2 specks. Had one day kill of 9. Mallards, grayducks, pintail, woodies, teal, and a scaup. My grandson killed two woodies with one shot, and low and behold, the hen had a band on its leg. Priceless. Hunted by myself one day and killed 4 widgeons in three shots. Tripled on the first shot. Lots of 4/5/6 count days. 9 more than last year. Problem is the second split sucks normally.

You must have been at your South LA spot... not the lake.

Nope, this was Anacoco thru and thru. The mud lake, marsh spot never materialized.

Saw earlier your spot was a mudhole, but you did kill. This rain should help. Heard of someone in the area that is looking or getting a blind there also.

I should start a thread on the comedy of errors on that place...

We are full now spilling over the gate, but that's bush league not to have water opening day at a place with "guaranteed water". That, and I think the low water situation was a passive aggressive deal since we hammered the teal while other blinds were lucky to kill maybe 5 or six a morning.

As far as someone close to you getting on, they may be replacing the guy from Anacoco who was asked not to return...

Nah, that was the first two who got kicked out. One was spotlighting and the other shot a monster 4 foot gator out of season and without a tag. They got the game warden called on them and got tickets on their way out...

Dude from Anacoco threatend to beat the head honcho's arse over water and the fact that the head honcho's wife heard him say something about "sucking dick" around the campfire... oh the horror...

They called the sheriff dept on him and now he's no longer welcome.
