After a quick peek at the 2013 regs for LA it appears you are right. I couldn't find anything either...

Shooting a Gobbler off the roost is legal in Tennessee as well, but highly frowned upon. I say to each his own, but I wouldn't give you a nickel to shoot one off the roost, to me, it would be like shooting a buck out of the truck window.

Limb lifting seems like robbing yourself of the opportunity to call old' big boy in... It takes the fun right out of it...

Another surprise for me is the number of states that allow high powered rifles for turkey hunting including FL.

Already covered probably but be covered from head to toe with camo, get a box call (most easy to use) and a shot gun with a full choke.. Learn where they go from the roost and set up in that direction.. Good luck!

eta: dont shot them off the roost... Not as fun as bringing them in yourself.
