a climber to be exact. i needed a climber to use mayb twice a year and didnt want to spend $2-400 on one. a guy i know had this one and wanted to trade. I used to play alot of ball so traded him an old bat and some balls for it. Looks great shape, aluminum stand kinda looks like how an api is made with aluminum square tubing. Anyway, anyone know about these things? decent stand?

if you got it for a bat that you weren't using anymore, if it lasts one hunt it was worth it, imo

I've never heard of them before. I have one that looks similar. It's old and slips off the tree way to easily. Thats why I replaced it with a Summit. Internet research reveals middle of the road reviews, not great/not horrible.

They're an old stand company that hasn't produced treestands for a couple of years.

They lost their TMA (Treestand Manufacturer's Association) Certification at some point in the mid to late 2000's and went out of production. People who have their older stands love them. I would be a really good harness if you bought that stand.

I had one once. It was a death trap. I don't know which model you have, but wear a harness while climbing.

I have one just like it and have used it for several years. Only modification I made was to take off the foot bar and attach a pair of the Summit hooks on it.

Mine works great. I'm not too fond of heights but i feel really secure in it, and have never had a problem (knock on wood).

I used a loggy bottom lock on a few times. Comfortable as hell if not the safest looking contraption

Climb 5 foot higher than you want to be. By dark you will have slipped 5 feet.

it is designed almost like a summit viper. it should do fine. They used to have metal bands for straps that went around tree. they were subject to break.

Had one back in the 90's. Stay away from pine trees, and if trees are wet , don't bother climbing.
