Best friend in La married the wrong woman who tried to tame his arse and he ended up living in one of them. He was miserable. Had to worry about doing too much to his yard, not enough to his yard and couldn't park his boat in sight.

I just started doing cost analysis for a turnaround group so my wife wanted somewhere she felt safe. It hasn't been too bad yet.

My neighborhood (Sherwood forest) has this "voluntary" HOA. They don't do dick other than collect money and pick on the people who aren't in it. All these by laws are bullshite. I parked my truck in my yard because I pressure washed my driveway, these frickers call the law and write me a ticket. My retired yard of the month wishes he was white neighbor's son parks in his yard all the time, never a ticket.

Depends on the HOA and what you want to do to your yard. If the nosy neighbors don't like it, they'll let you know.
