The ol lady was out of work at the time and I wasn't making the money I make now so we had to find something cheap, the only thing other than the trailer park that was cheap was in the middle of the fricking ghetto, so we chose the trailer hood.

Nothing wrong with living within your means and saving some $$$ ... and not in the hood.



Rents increased dramatically in BR after Katrina. Landlords in good areas raised the rent to deter undisirable tenants from renting.

Mrs. House and I moved back here from S.FL 3 years ago. We haven't bought a house yet (which is why I don't have a boat ). We are saving $$$ for a huge downpayment.

That being said - we live in a very nice apartment on the 3rd floor in a nice area.

What we pay every month is ridiculous for the size. Yes, it's a gated community, but I had a house 4 times this size when I last lived in BR - 2003 - for 2/3 of what I pay for this.

Whereabouts is your trailor hood. General area?

Flannery road, near fla blvd. it's not a bad area, it's pretty safe and quiet.
