*UPDATE in OP* Any Kimber Micro 9 or 380 owners on here?

Update: I just disassembled it to its bare bones and wiped all the factory "water" that Kimber calls oil out and gave it some precise oiling with some Shooter Lube Stage Two oil. It feels a lot cleaner and seems to be breaking with less pressure. We'll see how it feels when I can get it to the range.
(I highly recommend this stuff for cleaning and oiling of your firearms. Great stuff!)
Wish this would have come in Thurs so I could have put it thru its paces yesterday with the 3 other newbs. Anyone else own one of these? In test firing it a few times when doing the transfer I felt that the trigger had an extremely heavy break.
Full disclosure, I have a weakness in my right hand, trigger finger and thumb from an injury several years ago. I can't even get an S&W Bodyguard trigger to break because of its long travel and heavy break and most revolvers give me trouble when attempting to fire them in double action.
I'm hoping that it's just machine fluid and a good teardown and lube will help but if it doesn't, I'll be looking to offload it and will have a supremely poor experience with my first Kimber...

I don't own one, but did have a student with one -- the trigger on hers seemed reallystiff to me, so I later Googled the Kimber website.
Kimber lists the trigger weight at 7 pounds. That's like a Glock with a New York trigger. Hopefully yours will get lighter with use.

That seems a little heavy for a SAO gun.

Bought the desert tan micro 9 on the academy deal. Has the crimson trace stock
Everything Was super stiff on it out the box.
Put about 100 rds through it Saturday. Very very pleased with the accuracy and precision. Shooting clays at 10 yds and was 6 for 7 out the box.
The gun loosened up after firing.
If you decide to offload, let me know. Wouldnt mind getting one for the GF
EtA. No im not posting pica of the GF for you

I have a Micro 9. I see where you have updated the thread but I agree with the poster above. The more I shoot mine the smoother it gets. I will say I did like you and dissasembled mine and wiped it down then applied fresh oil before ever shooting it.

Friend has one that won't cycle with 115gr ammo. Calls kimber, they tell him gun was designed for heavier ammo. So we try 140gr and action locks open every shot. He was going to try again with 124s.
What a piece of shite.
What a piece of shite.
