I would be scarred to encounter that animal in the wild.

Ill powerwash with hot water when i pull land traps. Then rewax.

I dont mind a light rust. Easier to dye. Really rusty get a vinegar bath an rinsed.

Offshore, what kind of trap was that. Good looking cat btw.

This will derail the thread for a minimum of two pages.

Also, if serious, where are you?

Are the number of misses I am seeing expected? Could it be something simple?

He is making short work of the mink.

Also, where in Arkansas you located smoke?

That's awesome love it when the kids get involved. As for sprung traps it's pretty common. It could be any number of things from a pullout to just trap placement. I normally get one or two a night and it's normally a cow or something nosing around. Deer will also pop them if you are setting in a trail. Is the little man enjoying the trapping?

He definitely is, but didn't get out of bed this morning to come run them with me.

he is smarter than his dad to get out in 30degree weather.

He wants a yote so bad he can taste it. He has been talking about the yotes we saw yesterday non stop.

Yeah mine was out of school today cause of the weather. I gave him the choice he could get up and help me pull traps this morning or clean horse stalls. He decided to help me

North East Arkansas, about 30 minutes west of jonesboro. Mostly rice and bean farms. Lots of yote and beaver. Not much in the way of fox or cat. Pockets of coon and rats.

Cool. Went to high school west of you. (Logan County) Have friends all over. I don't think I ever spent any time in Jonesboro though.

Smoke need some advice I ain't used to this white crap falling from the sky what do you do to your land sets? I pulled all but 5 this morning just curious if you actually catch anything in the snow? I thought everything would have moved last night before this crap moved in but other than a grinner I got nothing. This south Alabama Gump don't know what to do in this crap

Flat sets still work well depending on snow depth, I've heard scent post will work well but I don't mess with them much. Dirt holes can work if you kind of brush away the snow and just leave a little bit of a dusting over the trap. More than anything just get out there and look at tracks. Its an amazing education.

Sorry I don't have more advice. I don't get much snow in the NE corner of the state.
