Rest of the pics from today sucked so didn't mess with them. Pulled the vast majority of the line and I'll hopefully be moving it soon.

As far as learning goes. My best advice is join the trapperman message board and dig into the archives. I'll try to answer all the questions that I can but that will give you a heck of a start knowing what question to ask.

You guys trap any rabbits?

I see several every AM in the subdivision I live in.

I haven't ever targeted rabbits but it's inevitable that I get a couple a year. But if you don't check early all you end up with is a foot and some fur.

Awesome smoke damn I love seeing that

Well I connected on a yote this morning it was a rear leg catch but a catch none the less. I moved a majority of my traps today cause they just weren't producing so maybe it will get better. Here are some set pics and the catch.

Nice, Im jealous of the backing. In the land of rice fields the best i can hope for is a dirt clod or grass clump.

Trust me we are not lacking in dead trees around here any wind gusts and I am walking fences Those traps I moved yesterday payed off a little. I set around a cypress pond on the edge of a pasture and ended up with
2 Grey's and a grinner. I missed on a bobcat but I changed the setup a little so maybe he will come back.

It shouldn't matter to me too much. It ain't supposed to get bark busting cold here. It might actually make them move around a little more here. Maybe a froze set or 2 but nothing major I hope. I think 24 is the lowest we are supposed to get.

Going to kill me, was 19 when I checked this am. Going to be 11 in the morning. All land and most water traps frozen solid.

Pulled almost all my land traps and will finish tomorrow. Going to move most of my water line as well. Was able to put out a couple traps on the new line location yesterday and was able to connect on a beaver this am. Hopefully more of those to come soon.

Well it turns out I don't know what I'm talking about once again. Thought I would be shut down on coon but just got a call that I caught a big boar. May have to get a pic of him once I get him on a board.

You guys are doing work!!

Glassed a coyote this afternoon. Might try to trap it. Any risk of getting deer?

No they will pull out pretty easy. It just holds the pads on their feet, deer hooves slide right out. I trap in my pastures with cows in there and never have had a problem except some of the curious ones poking around and popping them off

I had to pull most of my sets the other night. I had to AI some cows and wean some calves but I am working on getting them out on a new place right now. I did manage a coon and a possum last night though.

What kind of trap is that smoke?
