Was gonna cut grass today and fertilize. Is it too early? If so, how much longer to wait?

Too early... right now you should be applying pre emergent only, no nitrogen...shouldn’t apply nitrogen until at least April 15th... if applied too early you can subject your yard to brown patch

Get another yard guy cause he's either a crook or doesn't understand fertilizing.

I am sure it is preemergent and crab grass killer.

Oh ok, that would not be "feed."

I know Dan Gill and others say to wait until April 15, but I don’t think that’s a hard rule. Depending on how far south you live and unusually warm temps, I think you can do it sooner. My st Augustine is 90% green right now, and I’d feel comfortable fertilizing now. Haven’t yet because I have a few weeds I’m still trying to kill. Just my opinion.

I usually fertilize mine when the grass gets to 50/50 green vs still brown. I’ve never had a problem and my Bermuda looks great

It’s not about current temps... the rule is to protect against the late season frost.
