There are 14ish different species of bream aka sunfish not counting crappie which are technically members of the sunfish family.

While bluegill and other small sunfish are often called bream, even that name is incorrect. True bream are a species of European carp. Not sure how the name carried over in the states, because they don't look similar at all.

Likewise, Crappie are also not "true" perch. However, they are in the same sunfish family as bluegill and largemouth bass.
