I recently picked up cigars, but that's only been an after dinner smoke so far.

Walt, how much of your gum is gone? I've only been doing it for a little over a year and my left lower spot are pretty much gone.

I used to dip like it was going out of style. Started with Skoal at .35/can. Dipped 2 cans a day. Moved on to Chokenhagen and made their stockholders a ton of money. Never, ever had any issues, until.....my hunting/fishing padnuh developed some issues. I quit then and there. That was 2 years ago, and yes, I have had a dip here and there whilst drinkin, but don't buy anymore. I am the hated "hey man, you got a dip?" guy....

I quit smoking in 7th grade because the wrestling coach said on the first day of practice that if he caught any of us smoking he'd kick us off the team and tell our parents exactly why. Even though my dad smoked back then, I knew he would whip my arse; so I quit that day.
I wish I could find that coach and thank him.

Now I only smoke if I'm really drunk with a bunch of smokers.

Ya, I've heard plenty people tell me I take the risks/chances of dip to seriously but one of the ways I look at is If I survived the Taliban trying to blow me to bits with homeade fertilizer bombs it'd be a shame to lose my jaw to dipping. Just a perspective I have. Don't get me wrong, I've got a ton of buddies who view surviving the great AFghanistan adventure as a great reason to dip smoke drink.

look, i'm all about being a healthy individual and all that shite, but the fact of the matter is that you got to die of something.

i know i increase my odds of cancer by dipping, but i am not going to live in fear. people who don't smoke get lung cancer, etc, etc.

i come from a long line of tobacco connoisseurs

I have been dipping since I was 18 (29 now) and have not been able to quit. I know it will ruin my teeth and mouth eventually, and still continue to do it.

noob.

my dad used to put a pinch of copenhagen on my tongue when i was around 3-6 years old if i told him i wanted a dip. i guess he thought that shitty taste would keep me from doing it later in life. dad was dead wrong
