Check Tirerack.com and definitely shop around. I've had a lot of luck with south korean brands. Also keep in mind you probably dont need as much tire as you think you do. My car limits at 155 and they tell me I need z-rated. Nope. I keep it well under that, got a family and a job, can't lose my license. I buy Y-rated or something like that.

quote:Compare Discount and Simple Tires prices; Discount in my experience is only higher due to installation cost. Point being, if there is a Discount nearby you are not saving any money buying from ST. I’ve bought several sets from ST, and before that treadDepot but they went away.
Also Simple Tire Have them shipped to your house or tire shop for free.

quote:I had them check a tire for road hazard recently (a screw, but a short one that didn't puncture through the tread). It was on my miata. Falken Ziex, on of the few tires miataforums recommends for that generation.quote:
local Walmart
The local tire shops around here use the same labor pool as walmart. And walmart is cheaper. Just have to hope you get someone who GAF.
I shot the shite a bit with the guy doing it, he was talking about working on Triumphs and MGs back in the day, and how fun roadsters were not just to drive, but to maintain and work on. And how much easier a Mazda was to do so, than an old European brand that you couldn't get parts for. Dude knew his shite.
And like I said, there's something to be said for having road hazard options basically anywhere in the continental US.

Check Sams. They usually have a good variety at a great price.
