I cant remember, where is yalls land at?

Have you heard of a group trying to get a big piece together, 15k or so, and convert it to cane? Area is between Kaplan and gueydan on the north side.

it aint the hunting pressure as much as it is the people pressure.

It’ll be interesting to see the shift when these lands that have been set in oak trees wrp/crp start dropping acorn crops into impoundments.

Still a few yrs away but that will also affect holding power

No doubt there. Tons of set aside land that used to be rice, some of which has been converted to cane (neither beneficial to waterfowl). Plus all of the pump off land in south vermilion that is now nothing.
