I fished in the shitless weather for the championship. I don’t know if I tolerate another tournament like that again.

Nice! What unit is that? I have the Lowrance Hook2 and its a POS.

Elite ti 5. It didn’t come with the total scan transducer but the unit supports that so if I decide I need sidescan and all that I can upgrade transducer at a later date. Don’t really know what I need so I got this one. Came with inland/coastal mapcard. So far I’m enjoying playing with the touchscreen, splitting screens, and all that.

Ya. They had them on TackleDirect marked down to $269.99 reg $499.99. It was factory refurbished but all that meant was Lowrance did a software update. Brand new

ETA- google “Lowrance 000-12421-001”. That’s it and I still see some floating around for a good deal.

Obviously time will tell but my way too early thoughts are positive. Within 2 seconds of cutting it on and playing with it, I was changing and adjusting things with ease. I’ve heard good things from other people but we will see.

I have a Elite 4 chirp and the screen is lil small for my liking, just hard to see it sometimes but a touchscreen would be tits
but so would a Duce rod

Ya over the side using the new Yak Attack switchblade arm and the cell block. This is before I got the battery to get everything hooked up

Gonna go try east matagorda bay this weekend here in Texas. Co workers caught some big gator trout last weekend down there. Anyone familiar with 3 mile cut area?

can you stand easily in that yak? I'm looking to upgrade, biggest factor would be ability to stand and pedal not paddle. Not buying anything right away just beginning my search

The new Old Town Topwater PDL is getting great reviews and is only $2k out the door new. I would look hard at that if I wanted a pedal yak. The Predator PDL is a badass boat too, but for $800 more, most people would probably have a hard time justifying it.

What I like most about the Old Town PDL system is that it's a sealed system with inherent F/R and was designed by Minn Kota, plus it floats by itself. It's a very efficient system.

^^^all of this is 100% true. I have the Predator PDL, and it can be heavy at times, but I like the extra length and storage space. The PDL drive is the most efficient drive on the market and I find it is easier on your legs than a mirage drive

How much did that whole Depth finder and transducer mount set up cost you? I need to get one for mine before fishing season really fires up.

I've looked some at the railblaza setup, but that one you have looks really nice.

I’ll like to take it for a spin on 1 of our trips
Research an all...
but my Radar 135 has a 6:1 ratio and is super easy to pedal all day but would like to compare it

Speaking of trips gonna hit PAC Sat morning if anybody wants to roll
