Definitely not wrong about the current. I paddled almost all the way to a ship channel and had to fight that current coming back and had a tough time.

Hope they were paid! KYSEK has troubled history of paying bills on time; really bad business practices.

Looks like a strong North Wind for Saturday. Hopefully that will change.

Of course there is, because there is a BCKFC tournament scheduled . For anyone interested, we are having a trout tournament down at PAC Kayak Rentals on Saturday...any launches in Terrebonne Parish are within boundaries though.

13 mph with 30mph gusts is not good at all.

We'll just have to monitor it during the week. If nothing else can you guys fish Sunday if conditions are better?

I won't be able to. I will be brushing duck blinds on Sunday. I just have to hope the conditions get better throughout the week.

Well this weather was going to find a way to keep me off the water no matter what. With rain in the forecast for Sunday it looks like our group will be brushing duck blinds on Saturday. Looks like I'm out for this weekend.

It's the North Wind that will probably keep me out.

North northeast wind is my favorite for PAC

Honest question, why? Anytime I've been there on a north wind the water gets sucked out of the place and you're limited to fishing mostly the main channel and the current can get pretty rough.

You just answered it. Stacks up the fish in the main channel

So who braved it this morning? I just read PAC closed the launch unless you were fishing the tournament.

I was fishing in the tournament and had to get towed back in after peddling against the wind/current for over an hour nonstop and not even covering a mile. Saw quite a few others get towed in too. 3 guys that I know of ended up flipping their yaks.

ETA: almost flipped myself trying to get off the main canal into the marsh and got my drive stuck in shallows. Current spun me around real quick. Luckily made it out with only a bent rod on one fin
