It looks like Bonafide is releasing a new kayak this week. It's the RS117. I am guessing it will be a foot shorter and maybe a little wider than the SS127. Retail price of $999.

No pedal no care. Lol. I'm sure Bonafide isn't far behind.

13 is garbage
Why do you think this? It’s all I’ve used lately and love them.

Well thought out boat. If I were looking for another paddle boat, I'd have to give that one a test.

What reels are not made in Korea or China? I know Shimano still makes a few in Japan and Garcia still makes a few in Sweden.

Shimano, round Garcia, and Daiwa. Some evidence to suggest the H2o Mettle. Pretty much covers all I buy now

It’s not that the Korean made reels are bad or anything. Some of them are very good. They have differences. Just gotta find the ones you’re comfortable fishing with.
I like a lot of the Lew’s reels for various reasons. I do an annual cleaning and lubing. They have held up. Just gotta take care of them. Like any reel.

Are any reels made in the US?
Posted on 7/9/18 at 10:14 am to LSUlefty
I know there are quite a few fly reel companies in the US. But that’s about it.

Avet, IRT, Penn and a bunch of fly crap.

I'm willing to bet every reel I own was made in Korea.

I thought Penn stuff was made in China? That’s surprising.

Machined aluminum reels are made in USA (Philly). Diecast or injection molded products are made in China.

Ok. So both. Thanks for clearing that up.

Did you see these for sale in Ruby? Two Old Town PDLs
Posted on 7/9/18 at 1:40 pm to AlxTgr
I didn't, but that is a decent deal for anyone looking for a PDL. I found a used one in Kinder that I almost got, but I opted to wait and get a new boat due to the lifetime warranty on the hull. Plus I wanted the brown camo to duck hunt.
eta: you should sell that Native and get one though!

I will sell one of my natives if someone wants it, but I'm too lazy to actively try.
