Does the chrome afford any more time between shooting and cleaning, or do you still need to do a preliminary cleaning before leaving the range?

I'd clean it to be on the safe side.

Clean it. Chrome is some tough shite but theres no telling what is in corrosive primers.

The point of chrome lining is to increase the life span of the barrel. You can probably skip cleaning it at the range but it needs to be done asap to prevent any harmful effects in the action.
