Y'all need to deduct points for deer taken on managed land. And I would do it with teams just to give more people reason to stay tuned.

Disagree. Why deduct points for a buck taken on property that has had selective harvest since 1980? I've passed more bucks than I've shot and I've shot a few. I never hunted a high fence area and would tend to agree with your proposal on bucks taken within a high fence.Unless it was some place like Kennedy Ranch...50,000 acres or more.

What ever happened to keeping this simple? Let's just see what the people here are capable of producing, regardless of managed land, where, how, etc.

I thought this would take off, but I don't see a lot of interest.

Only problem I'll have now is that if I pull out a sharpie and an index card and write "Slickback" on it and ask one of the guys at my camp to take a picture of it, they'll think I'm fricking stupid.

Most of these old 'necks don't even have internet. It'll be fun trying to explain this to them.

I left our camp last weekend on a Sunday for a Fantasy Football Draft. Some of them never heard of that. I tried explaining it to them and they looked at me like I was crazy.

Well, when we see a pic of Ol' Merle holding up a bruiser, we'll know it's you.

It's really hard to keep this simple, if we can't use the honor system.

That would be nice. I don't see any reason to lie on something like this, but I'm sure we'll have a few that stretch the troof.

I think we should have two divisions for LA and an outside LA division. North and South LA and then outside LA.

Either that or a southern U.S. division and a northern U.S. division.

Just an idea.

Are we doing this?

I'm in if it is still on.

I like this idea:
#points + longest main beam + G2's + inside spread.

Either that, or:
We all post pics. Then it becomes a bracket of votes by posters. The TD Outdoor Board pics the winner.

Everybody post your pics. Tell your story. That is the best part.
Then let the OB pic the ultimate winner. Voters can take into consideration things like a huge LA buck vs. a big Illinois beast. Whether the hunt was guided or not. etc.

I like this. You can post your B/C score, points, weight, spread, where you killed it, etc, but I like the bracket idea.
