These guys brought their boats over for 6 days following the floods for rescues 24-7. 3 of the guides are personal friends of mine. They will entertain.

I have a boat and know a few buddies that do also. Send pics of sister and friends and we can work something out.

My family owns Honey Island Swamp Tours.

Swamp Tour

They will pick you up in the city and bring you back if that is your preference. Also, they have an alligator that comes to the boat, about 14' in length, that eats marshmallows.

Several years we took a tour with Airboat Adventures out of Lafitte. Had a great time and our guide was "Captain Mounkie".
He was great.
One suggestion: No matter who you go with, go on one of the small boats (6-8). It's a lot more fun, goes faster and you don't feel like you are on a cattle train.

Been on the Honey Island tour a few times. Always been a good time. The huge gator that you see sometimes, Whoppo(sp?) is incredible. A damn real life dinosaur. He's so big and slow when he is swimming by the boat you can reach out and touch his back as he swims by.

Would be a good spot to hang a limb line for that gator back there in dead river. He has been there for years.

I thought feeding wildlife was illegal?
