If it's a timber wolf, it's not native, and if it's native, it's not a timber wolf. Red wolves are the Gulf Coast wolf species.

Local wolves (Alexander Archipelago wolves) are smaller but still have much larger paws. This is Romeo who was a lone wolf who lived near the Mendenhall Glacier before some retarded frickers shot him. He used to play with the local dogs when folks were skiing and skating across the lake.

friend of mine's dad has a timberwolf mounted. that is one big scary muther. i'd hate to see it on the ground. it had to of weighed well over 100#
