I think I would go with the Redfield Battlezone or Nikon P-Rimfire at that price range - and still, I'm balking at almost doubling the price of the package with a scope approaching $200 (or more with the Leupold). When I said "good enough scope" - there are a number of inexpensive scopes - effectively made for the 10/22 market - $60 and under - Simmons, Tasco, Barska - if one isn't terribly picky - that would be "good enough".

Jumping on the 10/22 Bandwagon, everyone should have one in their safe, but the 15-22 is a great gun if you want something tacticool.
