Anyone else ever have an issue with this?

The gun is less than one year old. I haven't even put it through tough conditions and the barrel shows rust frequently. Duck hunting in wet conditions is one thing but it even happens after dove hunting in dry conditions.

I do not leave it in the case. The gun sits in the corner of my bedroom.

That's what I've been doing. It just seems excessive. I've never had this problem occur this often.

Mine has it around the ribs, spray it down and keep shooting. Mines 7 years old and still goes pow! I cleaned it last night real good and it’s showing wear, time for upgrade to a quality gun.

I thought about Cerokote being my camo is in bad shape. May do that and use it for a back up gun or for guest

That corner near a source of draft air from a window or a bathroom? Any type of acid cleaner used in a nearby room? I have a bare piece of machined cast iron on a shelf in my bedroom and it doesn't have a spot of rust on it and it's bone dry of any oil. I keep a similar piece in my work shop to make sure the dehumidifier is doing its job. I use paste wax or automotive carnauba wax for any firearm, knife, or tool that's going to be stored. I keep paste wax in my work truck for all sorts of uses, really hard to beat for rust protection.

No it isn't. I've moved to a new place since I bought this gun. The rust happened at both homes. I'm thinking it is just part of buying a budget shotgun. I might contact the manufacturer after duck season and see if they can add another coat of paint
