Does anyone happen to know of anyplace in SWLA that happens to have an M1A in stock that I can actually go put my hands on? I'm in LC, and obviously the closer the better,as I'm not looking to buy immediately. It's going to be a Christmas gift for my dad. So I don't really wanna drive just to go handle it and say "alright thanks, ya'll have a good one" lol.

I've shot one before, but it was a full blown custom build in a precision stock and all that jazz. Never actually held a "regular" M1a. I know it might be a stretch but figured I'd ask anyway. Specifically looking for one in 22" with walnut stock in .308 of course. Only had a chance to go to LC Tackle Friday and they didn't have any, but I did get to witness a guy buy a $5200 Nighthawk on the spot who openly said he had never heard of a 1911 before, so that was fun.

Yea not really looking to drive to BR unless I'm ready to buy then and there lol, appreciate it though. LCT quoted me around $1870. I have a buddy that I usually order from that will give me his price, but when I texted him the reply was "I'm currently kicked out of my house, so I can't really do anything right now." I said...well damn man I'm sorry lol.

Call Rusty at black water in Jennings. He may have something. Doesn’t usually have a huge selection but he is willing to help most of the time.

Nichols in DeQuincy or G&H in Gueydon also maybe?

Call DTS tactical in Moss Bluff. They have a huge selection.

When it comes down to buying go see the guys at The Outpost in Westlake.

He can order anything and if you bring cash you'll never find a lower price in the entire area.

It's the only place I buy guns now. Usually can get em in 3-5 days depending on distributor and will save you a fortune. I've bought several.

For the savings it's worth the few days. Some suppliers force you to buy like 10 at a time instead of 1's and 2's so if he can't do it he'll tell you he can't and won't bullshite you over it.
