Mix of St. Augustine and Bermuda. I mixed .4 oz to 15 gallons water and sprayed roughly 1/2 acre.

IIRC, St Aug rate is .25-.5oz/Acre. So you probably put almost 1 acre worth on 1/2 acre.

It's tricky dealing with Bermuda and St Aug (or centipede) mix. The application rates are so different.

If the yellowing hangs around longer than you'd like, apply some chelated iron.

I know this is a very common weed because I see it every year. I’m thinking bluegrass. Looked thru all the pics and still having trouble deciding which one it is. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m still struggling to control the dallis grass in my centipede lawn. I used high yield grass killer and it knocked it out but the dallis grass is coming back quicker than I can keep up . My yard is in bad shape and I’m looking for any advice . FYI... Last week I aerated my lawn and put down some nitrogen.

Dallisgrass is tough. Looks like you could do a wipe application with roundup on it. Use a STRONG solution, like 10oz/gallon

Thanks boot. As far as I can tell, there is nothing really made to control it at this point. Is it best just to wait it out till it warms up and dies off?

Simazine works as a post-emergent for it, but now that the temperatures are up you'll get turf damage with it. Just let it die on its own, yes.

My weeds aren't dying! Last Saturday I sprayed Top Shot and Sethoxydim all over my front (st aug centipede mix) and back yard (st aug centipede Bermuda mix). I used a surfactant this time so I know that wasn't the issue. I did spray after I cut the grass. Obviously I have screwed up somewhere or I'm just being impatient. Could that light rain we had on Sunday screwed it up?

Give it more time.

And then spray Celsius in a few weeks.

Hey Boot. I know you must get tired of us, but I genuinely appreciate your help

I have a bunch of bare area in my back yard that used to be just dirt/overgrowth/small saplings. I have cleared it and I threw some contractors mix down there a couple months ago.

It is very shaded so I was thinking of sodding St. Aug, but have recently learned that Zoysia is shade tolerant also. How shade tolerant is it? And if I pretty much scalp what is back there now and overseed, will it grow?

I'm in Baldwin County, AL, btw

St Aug is pretty good with shade...but I honestly don't have enough experience with zoysia to be able to comment about it. Hopefully one of the other can be more help! If I were to do St Aug, I'd hit it with roundup and let what's there die. Lightly til, then sod it.

Bootleg, I sprayed that Dallas grass with high yield killzall Sunday and it doesn’t look like it’s dying . I put a little extra of the concentrate than the label called for. Should I mix an even stronger batch and hit it again ?

Not just yet. Give it time. 2oz/gal should be strong enough. How much did you use?

You should be good, as long as you got good coverage on the foliage. Give it another 5 days or so...depending on the hardness of your water, pH and such, may work slower.

With no rain the forecast and hot temps, is it too late to weed n feed? Given these circumstances, should I try to get some liquid weed n feed? Is that stuff worth a crud? TIA

Nah. Selectively kill your weeds, then feed your turfgrass.
