I need help. Below are 2 pictures of centipede sod laid at my house. The green part was laid about 3 to 4 weeks again. The brown sod on the other side of the driveway was laid 2 weeks ago at the same time the backyard was done. The backyard is mostly green with a few small brown spots. I’ve been watering like crazy. Do I need to add anything else? Just keep watering? Already dead?

My guess is that sod stayed stacked on the pallet too long after being cut. Was already too far gone when laid down.

Ok, so the grass killer is working well on the ~15x15 patch of weedy grasses in my back yard that is otherwise Centipede.

Should I sod over the dead/dying grass or let the centipede naturally take over all of that?

The centipede will fill it in, now that you've taken out its competition. Sod it if you want instant gratification.

Is it too late to spray this POA down this year? It's gotten crazy in the last week with the warm temps.

I'm spraying mine now. Imazaquin will kill it now and atrazine will work as well. Spray this month and don't wait.
