What tripod or setups are you guys that hunt out west using?
I've got a promos trigger stick so I'm thinking about going with the spartan system instead of just 1 dedicated tripod

Standing or sitting?

I have the blackovis one with one leg longer than the other for glassing on a slope but it's for sitting

Black Ovis Alpine

When I was hunting antelope I used this tripod

What size spotting scope? Do you have to lug it around or just using it close to the truck?

I’ve got some Spartan stuff I’m getting rid of if you’re not looking to pay retail…

Eta:
Spartan Davros Pro head
Rifle adapter
Mlok adapter
Mr. G clamp
Large optics adapter

Probably standing mostly. I'm thinking mainly glassing from around truck then just use binos for stalk. First hunt will be antelope in new mexico

If you have a high magnification spotter and you want to use it standing you should get something pretty beefy. I have a slik 824 and they still have those on amazon for $160, that’s a really good deal for what it is. You’ll be disappointed if you buy a little backpacking tripod to stand with high magnification.

I have a Maven CS.1

I’ve lugged it up mountains and glassed from the truck. Depends on the hunt.
