I have never shot a pistol with a scope on it,but I now have a Ruger Super Redhawk with a 7 1/2 inch barrel in .44 mag. I am thinking about putting 1 on it.
What would be a good scope to look at?

I have a .460 with a Bushnell scope on it. And I can tell you, it’s hard as hell to shoot accurately holding a pistol 2 feet out in front of you trying to look through a scope. Just my .02 cents.

Other than that, the scope has held up well and I would recommend if that’s what you want.

The .460 is supposed to be good out to about 200 yards, but I can’t hit shite at 50 yards looking through a scope.

Don't think I would want to use it standing up shooting.
But maybe from my tree house,supported, out back of the house.

I don't consider this one, the best defense handgun ( even though it is scary looking). I have other ones for that.
