If you're fishing for trout it doesn't seem to do better than an H&H sparkle beetle. I don't know about reds.

A buddy told me the same this past weekend. He swears by Gulp, but he's a suspect fisherman in my opinion.
Having never fished with it, does a single lure last a while, or does it get tore up easily?

Yeah, ain't cheap. I only buy when going specifically for reds and when I don't think a spot remover is ideal.

Yea, I bought a tub of Gulp last year and don't plan on buying another one. That doesn't mean they don't work very well. I've just been very successful recently without 'em. Also, I've still got some gulp crabs that I drag on the bottom with no luck so I'll probably just give those away; waste of money.
