they pull like hell compared to a boat.
can get in inches of water and sightfish reds you couldnt dream of from most boats.
cheap.
more relaxing to me. (barring no 20mph winds)

we quit using electric knives on them after we burned up a couple of dozen on them.

I'd rather clean the 5 reds.

Once you get good at it it really doesn't take that long.

Sight casting reds all day. Love to catch trout, but like to fight reds more and its cheaper during the summer since you don't have to run to the outside.

The hell with electric knives. I've burned up so many on redfish and snapper.

I don't fry fish much anymore.

Maybe that's why I prefer the taste of reds. They just grill better.

Most of my fish is either blackened or grilled these days. Other than trout and fish on the bone.
