Not a 10 pt but my brother killed this 163.5" deer last weekend down at our place. 7.5 years old too.

I assume he isn't counting the broken brow tine. That broken brow tine added 1 1/8" iirc...i'd score it every time

No, I don't. Do you? I see a sticker coming off the left G2.

Taken from LINK

quote:

E: TOTAL LENGTHS OF ALL ABNORMAL POINTS Abnormal points are those non-typical in location (such as points originating from a point or from the bottom or sides of the main beam) or extra points beyond the normal pattern of points. Measure in the usual manner (See Figure A).

Referred to as "points" on the official website, so I will continue do the same

I'd count that, looks like it comes off the main beam. I wouldn't count that little bump at the end of the left main beam

ETA: I see what yall are talking about now

Great, that just leads to more confusion. Sure, it's a "point". Lots of things are points. That doesn't make that deer a 12 point any more than a burr on the base.

I would. It would hold my wedding ring if I held it just right.

Awesome deer!

I believe so, I had to leave that morning though so wasn't there when they taped it. It could be just a gross.

All your pictures of deer kind of make me a little sick.

Have ya'll brought in bucks from the outside for breeding or just managed it very well for years?

Didn't bring in any outside genetics. Although we are thinking about bringing in some bred does in the next few years to refresh the genetics.
