Pretty cool news story about a 7lb snook caught in Soldiers Creek. We've had a few randomly caught the past few years, but this one was pretty big!

Awesome. I've heard rumors of some being caught in that area, but none that big. Very cool

I saw one that was caught a few years back in Darien, Georgia.

Not that I've heard or seen. I wonder if they hang out under lights at night

They are moving north. About 10 years ago there was a very good snook bite as in Jacksonville and as far away as Beaufort SC they were being caught far more often than was normal. A bad winter about 8 years ago put a stop to most of it but they are starting to show up again. Traditionally the northern limit of snook, except for pretty rare catches, was Cape Canaveral on the east coast. A lot of people would say north of Sebastian but they don't know how good the snook fishing can be off the cape area rocky beaches....
