That rascal reminds me of one at least 5' long that I tried to kill about 50 years ago. He hung out on the edge of a rice field/deep woods near the Basin, a very hard to approach spot and I could never get to him without him seeing me. Just when I would see him in the long grass, he would take off and he was FAST. I would wait a few days and try again - no dice, same result. I tried to kill that mutha for two summers, never happened. I often wonder how long he lived and if he's waiting to ambush me the moment I leave this world. ;)
