He says it’s between the resting position and the wall. It’s supposed to simulate any form of jostling either by hand or by holster.
Regardless if the safety is pulled or not, it shouldn’t go off if the safety is on.
I suggest watching the whole video.

Obviously the video is very convincing if we take it as facts. A couple things though, we don’t know he didn’t manipulate this gun. If he walked into a range or armory and grabbed a random gun off the shelf and that happened then certainly, that’s an incredibly ridiculous situation and it should be recalled immediately.
But if its that easy to do, I have a hard time believing all these police officers, military, special forces, etc carrying it daily for work wouldn’t have more issues. So I have to question it.
Again, the guy that shot himself in the chest apparently threw a loaded and chambered gun down on the table and it was facing him. Not the smartest move and I would never suggest that with any loaded gun.

I saw the video. The fact remains he had pressure on the trigger the whole time. It’s a little dishonest to say it’s “uncommanded” when you put pressure on the “command” button then do everything you can to make it go off. I’m not convinced these guns are going off with no pressure on the trigger at all but there’s no reason to take a chance on it. There are plenty of reliable, safe firearms around.
Edit: it’s also a 45acp barrel in that video. Maybe he did a caliber change and did something wrong.

He admits in the beginning that’s it’s basically preowned so there’s a chance something has been done to the gun but I wouldn’t know what it could be.
But to say “he does everything he can to make it go off” is a stretch. Squeezing/rocking the slide, in my opinion, is normal movement when carrying in/out of vehicles, walking, or any other standard/daily activities.
Again, regardless, the safety is on. It shouldn’t go off with/without the trigger being pulled.
I would insist on anyone that has one to do this simple test that he did with or without the trigger being pulled.

assume you have a 320
I do not.
I am just HIGHLY skeptical that any 320s that AD'd were not misasembled/in disrepair/actually had the trigger pulled.
Everybody dogs out the M9 because so many in service were so clapped out that they felt like they were going to fall apart. I doubt the 320's are getting treated any better and being single action, having stuff worn out can be much worse than a SA/DA pistol with a firing pin disconnect safety. Far as I know the M17 safety is just a trigger block, and the striker block has to deal with a full cocked striker vs half cocked like others.
