I was shooting 1 1/8oz yesterday, but I've shot 7/8oz through it before with no problems. The SBEII's are tough to beat
You won't see a Maxus or Xtrema cycle 1oz loads without adjustment
Not so fast, no adjustments on my maxus from 7/8 ounce target to 3.5"

You're the only one, consider yourself lucky

Can't speak for the Maxxus, but I have an Xtrema and a AL390 Silver Mallard that says otherwise.
The AL390 hung I think 3 or 4 times on the first day I took it out the box and shot low power. After I ran some high power through it and broke it in a bit I've never had a problem. But I also leave my bolt locked to the rear when I store them. The springs are pretty tight on Berettas when they're new.

The silver mallard is a good one. The Xtrema2 will have issues with light loads as well as the Maxus just because of the nature of the action. Gas operated guns just can't eject the lower stuff consistently. Inertia driven action of the Benelli will.
I've put a spent shell in the chamber on purpose and knocked the stock against the ground to see if it would eject....the spent shell came right out

Only adjustments I have heard about with the maxus is the Cast and drop? The a5's have friction rings that need to be changed with light loads? I would be interested to know what kind of adjustments could be made?

That Stoeger I won a few months back has a Benelli inertia system in it. I think that's one of the reasons I was pretty impressed with it.

My old arse 16 ga has a ring under the forearm that you have to adjust between light and heavy loads. Works great but kicks extra bad when you have it set for light loads and stuff a buckshot in there.

I don't have a Maxus nor do I know how to make adjustments on them. My friends would not cycle the same dove loads I was shooting though, that's all the verification that I need. He damn near threw it in the woods

You hear about the duck hunter who got so pissed off at his gun that he threw it into the lake??
He damn near drowned trying to get it back.

Ive never gotten pissed off enough to throw something that costs over $1500

Need to lightly polish ur chamber. Wrap a piece of scotch brite pad around a 20ga brush. Soak it with kroil oil and jb bore cleaner, and scrub it good. Should fix ur problem.

Id bet good money that the op's problem is shitty aluminum shells that are getting too tight in the chamber to extract.

That gun would no longer be in my rotation if that happened

It happens with super cheap shells. I usually have one or two a case that do it. I have to hold the pump and slam the butt on the ground to get it out. Never have had that problem with brass shells.

I've never had that problem at all with my SBE much less my Nova

I'm waiting for the extractor to break one of the times I do it. I have to knock the shite out of it.
Seems like a fricked up low power shell would be worse in a semi auto.

I agree, but I've shot plenty of low aluminums out of mine, with no issues at all

Sorry I misspoke yesterday. It's sticking between the tube and the breech if that makes sense. It's like it's trying to load two shells.
ETA: they are aluminum Winchester super x

The little dog that holds them in the tube is probably fricked up

So I assume that's something id need to let a gunsmith take care of? May just be time to buy a new one because Im pretty sure this one is pretty crappy anyway.
