I'm thinking about unloading my stainless Remington 7 mag with a Leupold VX-3 50mm optic on it and I don't know where to go.... Checked out gunbroker.com and it's absolutely overloaded with guns so it seems like a waste of time and I'm not too keen on meeting some sketchball from the interwebz to sell a firearm by using LA Sportsman or the like.... Where would the OB go to sell said killing machine in the greater BR area?

How much would you ask this place to sell said rifle for?

whachu talkin' bout willis?!!

yeah, i'm thinking cabelas would be a sure frick job... i don't necessarily "need" to sell said rifle but i never really wanted a 7 mag to begin with but i got a decent deal on it already fitted with the scope and such... i'd like to unload it in time and scoop a .270...

Try the good old fashioned classifieds in the advocate if you are opposed to using the net. It is getting close to hunting season and I know plenty of folks who still read traditional classifieds looking for deals.

Also, try Bayoushooter.

Jim's firearms on seigan will buy and give you a much better price than any pawn shop would. Still probably comparable to cabellas though, though it is privately owned instead of a chain so you are dealing directly With Jim when negotiating

He will also give you more if you trade it toward something else there

I kind of want that killing machine, in that I love stainless barrels.

We should discuss where you might want to go while trying to sell said killing machine.

How much are you looking to get, and why do you prefer a .270 over the mag?

Good luck. I have a model 700 .270 that I have been considering getting rid of. I'm lining up an elk trip and need to get a little bigger rifle. Something like a 7 mag or .300.

Perhaps you could email me your email and we could stay in touch via email and I'll update you on when/where I decide to sell it?

Really no other deets... Bought it from the guy who runs our club and it a gunsmith. He picked it up off of some deceased le Officer from Florida... He had a ton of assault rifle type stuff and he believed it was either seized or used by the police dept in some capacity... It's a black composite stock, stainless barrel with a Leupold vx3 up top. Also, 99.9% sure it's a bull barrel.

Speaking of.... Let's nail down a value on this thing of beauty. I paid $850 for it and have since put 5 rounds through it at the range... I was led to believe that price was a steal by the broker who sold it as he's a good family friend... I'm thinking if I broke even I'd be happy... Where can you even find such values? Figured that would be easy to google but it's not....

Is the action black? Any other markings on barrel besides Remington's? Is the bolt jeweled or black? Barrel length and size? Pics would help. Is it the original stock? May be worth more then a stock rifle. Don't need a 7mm, but may be interested. At the very least, may be able to help you on pricing it.
