Just drove I-49 North from Laffy to Alex. this morning. Only large concentration of ducks visible from the interstate that I saw where rice fields east, between Turkey Creek/Meeker exit and Chenyville exit. I didn’t see a single goose.

My dad was deer hunting Wednesday evening on our property in Avoyelles Parish. He said he saw a decent amount of ducks. More than in the first split.

Foot is going to check our decoys this afternoon. I will be in the middle of our Christmas party.

Sunday and Monday had almost no geese in fields anywhere. The tide turned after the Sunday evening and Monday cold front.

You should've seen the geese around Wed. Unbelievable - rolling clouds of hundreds of specks

Heard the rice fields around Gueydan were pretty empty. I had to come with a customer to S. Tx on a deer hunt. Hated to miss the 2nd split opener, but doesn’t sound like I missed too much.
