You really can't go wrong w/ either, but as someone mentioned, there are a bunch of aftermarket parts for the Ruger. My son in law has a Buckmark and it's a fine gun. Having said that the first handgun I ever bought was a Ruger Mark I (yeah, I've had it a LOOOOONG time) w/ a 5.5" bull barrel. When I decided to get a 22LR suppressor, the first gun I bought w/ a threaded barrel was a Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite. Obviously, my vote goes to Ruger, but if you found a good deal on a Buckmark, that'd be fine.
