I agree. Especially fishing out on Elmers or GI. Totally different experience. And, it seems I can get down there, fish and be back home in less time it takes to boat fish from places closer to home.

Unfortunately I own a boat, but I remember growing up and not having one. I used to have very good trips from the side of the road close to Grand Isle.

I wouldn't enjoy yak fishing, but love exploring in them.

I always though it's funny...a bank fisherman will cast as far as they can from the bank. A boat fisherman will cast as close to the bank as possible.

that is funny as a thought but when bank fishing i would mostly target close to shore or wherever a drop off was.
