“Every single fishing rod I have except one is Cabelas brand”
Cabelas had a fishing rod factory of sorts in Cotter Arkansas, very close to Flippin.
Made with G.Loomis blanks, all the guides, handles, etc were shipped there and employees(mostly women) would assemble them,Were very good rods.
China killed that.

I still have some Bagley's Balsa B's I ordered from Bass Pro in the 1970's. Their stores suck arse these days; I hate going in them.

I loved Cabelas brand stuff. Bought a pair of Cabelas Duratrax boots. Best pair of knee boots I’ve ever owned. Would love to know how many miles I walked in those boots. Bass Pro killed that boot and a lot of the other quality items Cabelas used to sell

Online Cabela's used to have the Bargain Cave and a section in there called Rock Bottom Deals. I used to load up on clothes. I could get the Cabela's Oufitter Series wrinkle-free button up shirts, their XPG fleeces, Helly Hansen stuff, and well made technical pants for about $15 each ... legit super deals, like 70% off. I still wear this stuff and it's been 20 years.
Once the merger happened the clearance deals aren't good and the few Red Head things I've had are crap.
