OP check the gas tube. Blow it out with WD40. That or check to see if you have the brass ring in the right direction. One other thing to check is pull the rear stock off and check, clean the rods.

thats what we have been doing every time. two reasons: i like clean guns and want to make sure jr also does; jr can now completely disassemble his shotgun and put it back together on his own.

To much oil usually works good at first then gums up with use.
to little oil will hang up right away.
take off but plate and clean spring in stock
clean fore arm and rings that go on it and I think it has gas ports also

Could be a rough chamber, stout spring, dirty gas port, or bad piston seal.

u would think that would cause consistent malfunctions instead of only warming-up like ones
