I'm not mad at them, it is just a stupid show that is obviously made up.
No one takes a $50,000 gun and turns it into a $10,000 gun just so he can look like a badass at a machine gun shoot.
And I do hate to see a museum quality piece turned into junk. There are a ton of already "Bubba-ed" 1919s out there that they could have used for the show.

Don't hold you're breath on that email response. They've never responded to one email I have snet them. Once about an AK rebuild and once about a new rifle.

It seems that the average price on a 1919 is about $23,000.00. So, if I remember correctly and that one was in a lot of the original packaging, it was worth a good deal more.
Not to mention the whole premise of turning a 1919 into a shoulder fired weapon had already been done by the Army in about 1944, so they could have used one of those as well.

I still don't get any of your takes on this. If I want to....

It's a reality show. They are all made up. One can easily watch the show and enjoy the guns they air and the publicity of responsible enjoyment of guns.

Another one of my favorites was when they charged a guy $150 to remove the bolt from his Arisaka and run a few patches down the bore while making it seem as though they had to do some major work to make ammunition for it. Of course, they could have just gone here: 6.5 Jap

too awesome to buy their ammo.

I also like the way the downloaded the 6.5 Jap ammunition to pop gun status while talking about how old the rifle was. When most actual gunsmiths know that the Arisaka is widely regarded as having the strongest action EVER built on a standard firearm. They have proven practically impossible to blow up even when they are intentionally tested to the point of destruction.

That is why they are amazing to use on CoD W@W.

I've never gotten that vibe off the show.
Nor have I...
They did have a couple on the show that were novices with firearms, and they seemed like they couldn't give two shits about dealing with them. But that's understandable considering what kind of products they're putting out and who their clients are.
