There kinda is one with tritium in the accupoint

Either triangle or crosshair with dot. Idk how it will hold up to a shotgun

vortex sight arrived today. pretty easy to mount on a 1301, you have to take the front sight and the rail off first. you use three screws to mount.

heres a shitty pic of the reticle aimed at my oven

out of the box the dot is right on the front sight post. i wont have a chance to shoot till the weekend. its a nice piece, it fits and sights great and seems to be high quality

Thanks for the report! It fits in there pretty good it looks like. Do you plan to use the rings or just the dots? Curious how they fit the pattern of certain loads and chokes.

I like the large circle with the dot. 65moa I think is the circle. There’s six or eight options you can cycle thru

Yea that sounded interesting. Not sure if it would be accurate or worth while but maybe different circles depending on the choke/ general distance of the shot. I may have to try one out instead of the Holosun I was eyeing up.

just being realistic here…my 1301 stays leaning against the wall in the bedroom, I may take it out in the woods at some point but I didn’t get it to hunt with. As long as it puts buckshot in a pattern 10-20 yds away I’m good. I can put the circle on the bad dudes chest, it’s an excellent aid in shot placement which is all I wanted

True I didn't get mine "for hunting" but I like to rotate what I take hunting so its not just sitting un-used because I hope to never need to use it on a bad guy.

I have a Mossberg 835 with a Burris FF3 red dot mounted on a Monstrum base. It’s a great setup that sits very low profile.

Hopefully it can kill a turkey this year.
