I was truly blown away by these lights. And I think most people are when they get into this class of light.

The flashlight companies like fenix and olight and company make the mainstream lights seem laughable and now I try to convert everyone.

This is the headlamp I like.

Fenix hl60r

Notice that there really is no hotspot of the beam and it is basically just a very bright flood. This thing is great working of things handsfree, walking, etc.

It's nice and lightweight. Has a micro USB charger build right into the light. Also uses the same 3500mah 18650 batteries as my pd32. Its a great headlamp.

You can buy an expensive arse flashlight that is made of aluminum with o-ring seals or you can buy 3 reasonably priced aluminum flashlights with o-ring seals at Costco. They all do the exact same thing and will last as long as you take care of them. You choose.

If you had to only pick one to use, would you pick this or the pd32?

I guess I’m asking which one you like better

It depends how I'm using it.

If I'm working on things or blood trailing crawling m hands and knees I find I'm almost always carrying the light in my mouth. That realization is what caused me to buy the headlamp.

But I alsways have the pd32 on me because I carry it every day. But for working n things the headlamp is the way to go. Setting out decoys working on blinds etc.

I ended up getting both as you can see lol. But you definitely won't go wrong with just starting with one.

In that size range of a light fenix makes a handheld that casts a beam half a mile.

Streamlght is far behind the times with their stinger

Oh really. And I bet the feneix batteries last 15 min too. Always a tradeoff between output and battery life. The Stinger LED rides that line perfectly.

There are different output modes...???

So the stinger ds hl
800 lumens max
1.5hrs runtime max
Beam distance 310 meters
Max candela 24,000
Runtime on low 5hrs. No stated lumens for low
Length 8.9"
Weight 12.8oz

Fenix tk47

Length- 10.5"
Weight- 13.2oz

Tk47ue

Sorry I edited my post.

So the tk47 has more runtime more lumens and double the throw than the streamligjt while weighing the same and only being two inches longer

I think it's pretty clear which light wins.

Bump that down to its high mode and it still has a longer throw and absolutely destroys it in the runtime and candela

Also the stinger isn't waterproof wheras the fenix is waterproof to 6 meters

I own several good flashlights...keep one in every vehicle and travel bag. But imagine when you really need a light. Changing a flat tire, skinning a deer, etc. You need both hands, and that's why you own headlamps. Years ago l used the old nite lite coon hunting lamps with a belt battery, but technology has caught up.

I keep headlamps that are powered by two 18650 batteries in my workbag. They are USB rechargeable, so l can power them up on the way to a job in the truck if they are not fully charged, and always travel with extra batteries. I'm often working in very large abandoned industrial buildings with no power, and it's best to have both hands free in those environments, for obvious reasons. Handy at the camp too. Prefect for blood trailing, skinning or random foolishness in the woods.

you "bet" wrong

Stinger is a super bad arse light, but pound for pound the fenix lights rule all due to their absurdly small size imho. I'm not a stinger hater tho. That thing can toss some light. The one I played with was like the original cop sized mag light that you could beat a man with... prob half that size but probably the best single distance beam I've seen. But my fenix swallowed that shite up - up close.
