That's an honest mistake that's been made by many. The media has become so anti gun it's almost become necessary to double check everything they print that's gun related.

The 5.7's "armor piercing" capability is associated only w/ the law enforcement ammo; it has no special AP capabilities w/ civilian ammo. I don't understand why a self defense handgun needs AP capabilities anyway.

If you're comfortable w/ the 5.7 as a self defense handgun for yourself, that's fine. I just wanted any other readers to hear the counterpoint.
