If you have the time I strongly suggest downloading the pdf and fully reading the ruling to grasp its scope and thoroughness. It is not only a rebuke of California's long-standing assault weapons ban but also a proper historically and factually contextualized refutation of practically every argument made by gun-control advocates with respect to AR-15's and the like. Also note the voluminous citations used, particularly those involving Heller, McDonald, and Caetano.
