No work done to the motor
I would definitely want to see that. He should check the spec sheet of a 115SHO and an F115.

I saw 50 on gps a couple times around 10-15hrs after the break in. Then I loaded it with 8-10 rods, a bimini top, tackle boxes, everything else I needed saftey and compliance wise, food and drinks, extra passengers. 48 and some change now and then is all I ever see. He's blowing smoke like civil said at 55mph. Gonna need some specifics, and proof...

Know a guy who has an 2017 RT188 with a 115 SHO claims it runs 55 mph gps. No jackplate or anything else special. I never heard of one running that fast so I was just curious what others have seen.
No worries I just see that question a lot here and was curious why.

I have this boat and same motor. What I want to know is if he has a stainless
steel prop if so, what diameter and pitch is it? Can't seem to get one answer from dealers. My max rpms are 6300. Currently have an aluminum prop. 13.5x16.

The boat has a SHO 115 with a stainless 19p prop I believe.

You need more prop.

I have a 19 pitch stainless prop with the 4" setback plate and the most RPMs I can turn is 5700-5800. I've gone 44 and I've hit 51 MPHs but consistently stay at 46-47. Someone on bass boat central said the SHO should be turning 6300 RPMs. I've been thinking about getting one of those 22 pitch Lasers or getting current prop worked on, but the guy at Hole Shot never replied back to me since 7/24/17.

What is a jackplate you guys mention?

The setback plate is just a couple of aluminum brackets that bolt to the transom and becomes what the motor actually mounts to 4" further behind the hull.
The jack plate is similar but allows the motor to move up and down, hydraulically or manually, and is also what the motor mounts to 6" behind the hull.
